Isabelle was very clear in her explanations before and after the booking and was always available via WhatsApp; it is a guarantee of quality and professionalism.Our guide René picked us up at our hotel and shared anecdotes with us throughout the car ride to our destination, and on the way back, he gave us very good recommendations for restaurants. Miss Jill did an amazing job with this tour. She was incredibly patient with the kids and the material was perfect for the target audience. My daughter learned a lot and I was happy she was getting well researched and fact based information delivered in a way she could understand and process (even though some topics are difficult for kiddos to get). This tour was wonderful! Highly recommend, First of all the website was easy to book without having to call anyone. Communication was stellar. The price was modest compared to some...which I appreciated as you never know what you are going to get. I would rather give a tip than pay for something that was not so great.Our guide was Harris who knew so much about the entire history of New Orleans, but as a musician himself was able to bring more insight into the whole Treme area and the beginnings of Jazz. We even went by a church he had played in when he was in high school. He wanted to know what we wanted to know, not just a canned talk by any means. Like because I am Irish, he told us a little about that neighborhood as well. And even more generous, he followed up the visit with a long text reviewing a lot of the details and names he had discussed and some other places we might want to check out.
